About Us

They say a chain is only as good as its weakest link. Lucky for us, every link is solid at Fearey. Our team is what defines us, by bringing experience, talent, enthusiasm and authenticity to every project.

Why The Fearey Group - Exceptional Public Relations - Fearey
You, Amplified

Our Story

When Fearey began serving Seattle’s renegades in 1981, the world was a different place. Press releases required envelopes, news cycles were predictable, and our founder was frequently the lone female in the presence of fellow CEOs.

In the decades that followed, the Pacific Northwest became the birthplace of gravity-defying technologies, boundary-pushing creativity, and life-changing code. And time after time, Fearey was there to amplify the region’s accomplishments.

40 years

Original, Authentic, Fearless

Throughout the last four decades, Fearey’s identity has been defined by three words: original, authentic, and fearless. And while many of our tools have transformed over the years, our most prized remains the same: relationships.

The companies, journalists, and citizens we serve have always been — and will always be — the relationships whose trust we seek to steward.

Under the leadership of employee-turned-CEO Aaron Blank, Fearey has expanded both geographically and professionally. The expertise once encapsulated by two letters — PR — is today supported by a full suite of digital marketing and communication services. Meanwhile, our reach has expanded across state lines and oceans, spanning the west coast with people living in Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Alaska, Montana and Colorado.

The mission that has governed Fearey for the last 40 years is the same mission we charge ourselves to guide the next 40 to come: building trusting and enduring relationships one conversation at a time.

Original, Authentic and Fearless - The Fearey Group

The Team

We are an eclectic group of former journalists, political masterminds, professional storytellers, creative gurus and digital pros who converge for the single purpose of amplifying your story.

Aaron Blank

CEO & President

Aaron Blank

CEO & President

When Aaron accepted a role as a Fearey senior account executive in 2005, he had little idea that he was stepping onto a path that would lead to ownership of one of the region’s most iconic public relations firms.

Since taking over as Fearey’s CEO and president in 2014, Aaron has led the firm through continuous double-digital annual growth, and solidified the firm’s reputation as a creative communications pioneer. When the City of Seattle secured its first NHL team in decades, local leaders turned to Aaron to help steer the rollout. When a construction disaster brought despair to one of the city’s most familiar streets, he was enlisted to help bring clarity to the confusion.

Named to the “40 under 40” list by the Puget Sound Business Journal and PR Week, Aaron is committed to making a lasting impact throughout the region and beyond. He is involved with The ArtsFund and Children’s Hopechest, and served as the second-youngest president of the Public Relations Global Network, an organization with 54 offices on six continents.

Aaron is a firm believer in the “never eat alone” mentality, with one lonely exception: breakfast. If anyone would like to join him at 4:30am, they’re more than welcome.
