#FearlessInternship: Meet Erin Dubots

First days can be a source of anxiety. . . especially when you’ve recently moved to the other side of the country.

Erin DubotsHi! I’m Erin Dubots and I am a recent graduate of Ithaca College in New York State – just a few (thousand) miles from Seattle. I moved from New York to Seattle this past month to become the newest Production Assistant at The Fearey Group, and to figure out why people seem to love the Pacific Northwest so much.

My first day with the Fearey team was unlike any “first day” I’ve had. Many would think one-on-one meetings with each team member, getting your first assignments and adapting to a new company would be overwhelming for one day, but The Fearey Group’s fearless attitude brought an energy to the work day that soothed any worries. I was immediately welcomed into a team of hard-working individuals who, despite having work to be done, took the time to introduce me to their team and show how excited they were to have me join the group.

Erin DubotsTo say I’ve spent the week learning hands-on is an understatement. I was invited into client meetings, began monitoring social media for three different accounts and tackled my first blog post. I met with CEO and President Aaron Blank my very first day and quickly realized what an inclusive, innovative company I had joined. I was also welcomed with cups and cups of coffee, truly embracing the culture of Seattle.

I cannot wait to see what The Fearey Group has in store and how I can grow my professional and personal skills through this opportunity. I am thrilled to be a part of the Fearey team and am ready to embrace a fearless attitude in this new role.
