THE FEAREY GROUP PROMOTES TWO Local public relations firm recognizes the work of Natalie Quick and Traci Paulk; hires Sarah Haeger, Richelle Kerns and, Kate Miller SEATTLE – Feb. 27, 2007 – The Fearey Group, one of the Puget Sound region’s leading public relations and public affairs firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Natalie Quick to vice president and director of public affairs and Traci Paulk to vice president. The firm also hired Sarah Haeger to the position of account supervisor, Richelle Kerns to the position of senior account executive and Kate Miller to the position of account coordinator. “The Fearey Group’s employees are our greatest assets and the primary reason the agency has thrived and sustained such long-standing relationships with our clients,” said Natalie Price, President of The Fearey Group. “Natalie and Traci have played an instrumental role in our continued growth and success during their tenure, and I’m thrilled to recognize their significant accomplishments.” Already a vice president at the Fearey Group, Natalie Quick brings a wealth of public affairs and public relations experience to her new position. As vice president and director of public affairs, she will be responsible for the continued development of this critical aspect of The Fearey Group’s business and expertise. Quick has been an integral part of campaign development and implementation for clients such as the Port of Seattle, Equity Office Properties, League of Education Voters, Harvest Partners, the City of Kent and the Urban Land Institute, among others. She was also the campaign manager for the Build the Street Car campaign. In addition to her work for The Fearey Group, Quick serves on the board of several organizations in the real estate community, including the Urban Land Institute and is chair of its Young Leaders Group. As vice president, Traci Paulk will put her strategic management expertise to use by directing strategy on a wide range of public relations programs for clients including CollinsWoerman, the Allen Institute for Brain Science, Teragren and Early Winters Development. Most recently, Paulk helped lead a public relations campaign announcing the groundbreaking completion of the Allen Brian Atlas, which included a high-profile Washington D.C. event and media outreach resulting in more than 530 media placements worldwide. Paulk previously worked at Edelman, where she implemented award-winning campaigns for clients such as Corbis and AT&T Broadband. She holds a master of business administration in policy and planning from the University of New Mexico. The Fearey Group’s newest account supervisor, Sarah Haeger, brings broad experience and understanding of public affairs, media relations, influencer outreach and issues management to her new position. Formerly a member of Edelman’s public affairs group in its New York office, Haeger has worked with a variety of clients, including Pfizer, Ochsner Health System and Duke University. Prior to joining Edelman, Haeger was a media specialist in the public affairs office at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In her role as an account supervisor, she will act as an integral part of the leadership team for clients such as the City of Kent, Safeway and Harvest Partners, among others. A former journalist and public relations professional in Chicago and Seattle, Richelle Kerns joins The Fearey Group as a senior account executive. Kerns has worked with clients from a broad array of industries, including hospitality, retail, technology and healthcare. Before joining the Fearey Group team, Kerns, an active member of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, worked as a media publications coordinator for Northwest Hospital and Medical Center. Kerns will lend her expertise to clients such as Quadrant Homes, CollinsWoerman and Lisa Dupar Catering, to name a few. Previously an intern with The Fearey Group, Kate Miller joins the firm permanently as an account coordinator. Miller has received several honors, including being named a 2006 Western Washington University distinguished scholar and being appointed editor-in-chief of Klipsun Magazine, recognized as the top student magazine in the northwest region by the Society of Professional Journalists.
