Cushman & Wakefield

A real estate services firm founded in 1917 with 163 offices in 49 countries. The Seattle office opened in 1979 and employs 75 people.

  • SITUATION
  • In its 20 years in Seattle, Cushman & Wakefield had established an outstanding reputation, but hadn’t captured a large share of the market.
  • SOLUTION
  • Working with the local office and the New York headquarters, The Fearey Group developed an integrated public relations plan to re-introduce the company to the Seattle commercial real estate market to build its brand and position it for growth. The plan included media relations, press briefings, authored articles, industry awards, special events and advertising.
  • RESULTS
  • A successful media relations campaign helped establish Cushman & Wakefield as the firm with the most reliable research. We also positioned brokers as the “go-to” experts for reporters working on stories involving commercial real estate.

  • Transaction announcements were routinely used in news stories and helped raise the firm’s public profile—as well as generate new business. Media coverage included the Seattle daily newspapers, the Puget Sound Business Journal, local radio stations, regional trade publications and national news outlets.

  • The Senior Managing Director was named as a “40 Under 40” recipient by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
