Beacon Capital Partners is a real estate investment firm that owns one of the largest office portfolios in Seattle and Bellevue.

Situation

• In 2007, Beacon Capital Partners purchased a portion of Equity Office Properties’ office portfolio in Seattle and Bellevue. 
• Following the transaction, Beacon determined it needed a public relations team that could deal with any crisis at any time.

Solution

• Act as on-the-ground communicators for Beacon Capital Partners – creating key messages, drafting tenant communications, collaborating with city, state and federal officials and interfacing with the media in the event of a crisis or safety breach.
• Organize and participate in table-top meetings and media relations training sessions with all property management teams, and routinely meet with public information officers at all major emergency departments.

 Results

• The Fearey Group has responded to more than a dozen potential crises at Beacon properties.
